I must admit that I was a little surprised to see that Notre Dame had indeed played the Cincinnati Bearcats once before, and even more surprised to see that the match-up was in 1900. Here a little history about the Fighting Irish and the Bearcats.Notre Dame played Cincinnati on October 20th, 1900. The Irish prevailed in the meeting by a score of 57-0. Cincinnati has an overall record of 639-592-50 (.518), and Notre Dame has an overall record of 922-329-42 (.729).Cincinnati has zero National Championships, to Notre Dame 11.Cincinnati has played in 19 Bowl Games, to Notre Dame 37 Bowl Games.Cincinnati Bowl Game record is 9-10-0 (.474), and Notre Dame Bowl Game record is 18-19-0 (.486)The Bearcats have had 3 consensus All-Americans, to Notre Dame 104 consensus All-Americans.The Bearcats have had 121 NFL Draft picks, to Notre Dame 520 NFL Draft picks. The Bearcats have had 2 first round NFL picks, to Notre Dame 69 first round NFL picks. Here is Notre Dame record in the year 1900: Image: WikipediaHere is Cincinnati record in the year 1900:Image: WikipediaI not only found a game summary in Notre Dame Archives for the ND-Cincinnati game in 1900, I also found this brief summary of the 1900 season: The season of 1900 started off wrong. In one of the hardest fought battles ever seen in the state we lost to Indiana (6-0), and gloom settled over the camp of loyal rooters With Captain Farley playing sensationally at half-back, and Farragher doing gilt-edged work at tackle, Notre Dame at first seemed sure of victory, but both men were injured early in the game and our hopes dwindled away. At Madison we were completely outclassed. The line failed to hold on defense, and as we seldom had the ball in our possession we had little opportunity to show what we could do on offense54-0 sums up the dismal story Some of the gloom lifted when we held Michigan down to seven points. Sammon at full-back and Glynn at end were the stars, but every man gave a good account of himself, forcing the Wolverines to fight hard for every foot gained. In the first half a fumble gave Michigan the ball on our 9-yard line, and from there the oval was carried over for a touchdown. The two additional points were gained by forcing Sammon back for a safety. In the second half we put Michigan on the defensive, once pushing her back within three yards of the goal, but a mighty defense held us from going further.  Cincinnati also Our VictimsBefore a throng of enthusiastic rooters and admirers decked in a gala array of colors our football heroes overwhelmingly defeated the eleven sent up from the University of Cincinnati to cope with them on last Saturday. The short time the Cincinnati boys had the pigskin in their possession gave them small opportunity to make any headway. Not once during the entire game was our goal threatened. During the second half, when the Cincinnati boys began to look a little dangerous, our fellows forced them to try a drop kick from the thirty yard line which they missed. Many times Cincinnati strove to advance the ball into our territory, but at each attempt one or more Notre Dame men proved to be an insurmountable obstacle. The men from the Ohio institution were outclassed in nearly all the departments of the game. Our fellows delighted the rooters by their excellent playing, and elicited from even our opponents expressions of praise. There was not a man on the eleven who did not play his game. Farley long runs and his line bucking, and Lins plunges through opposing line, with the tackling of Kuppler, and Sammon, make up the features of the game. Diebold work at quarterback was all that could be asked of him His passes were frequently interfered with, and no more than one, and at most two fumbles, can be charged against him. Diebold defensive work was excellent. Staudt who took Farragher position at tackle played a very strong game. Staudt had an awfully hard man to take care of. Gilmore, Winter and the other men gave a good account of themselvesOf the Cincinnati men Fritch, the big guard. Marsh, at left tackle, Shayer at quarterback, and Van Morte at left halfback did some clever playing.  The GameFarley kicked forty yards to Greenbaum, and Cincinnati end came back five. Van Cunningham and Smedley could advance the ball only four yards, and Notre Dame took possession of it. Kuppler made two yards through tackle. Fritch interfered with the ball and it was fumbled. Diebold grabbed the ball and gained ten yards. The oval was fumbled on the next play and Cincinnati got it. Smedley and Van Moter made four yards at tackle. Cunningham broke through centre for two more, but lost a yard on the next play. Cincinnati tried a double pass, but Sammon put Smedley down for a loss of five yards. Van tried tackle but failed to gain and Notre Dame took the ball. Farley skirted left end for seven yards. Lins plunged through guard for four. Cincinnati lost ten yards for offside play. Fortin charged through tackle for five yards. Kuppler ran through right tackle for a touchdown. Winter kicked an easy goal. Notre Dame 6 - Cincinnati 0.Cunningham kicked twenty yards to Diebold who lost the ball after making seven-yards. Cincinnati got the ball, but Notre Dame held for downs. Kuppler, Lins and Farley failed to make the necessary gain, and the ball went over. Farley stopped Loughry for a loss. Cunningham wiggled through tackle for three yards. Van ran into Kuppler and Notre Dame took the oval. Farley, Lins, Kuppler and Fortin carried the ball to Cincinnati forty yard line when they lost it on a fumble. Cincinnati failed to make five yards gain; and the ball went to Notre Dame. Lins and Farley put the ball on the twenty-five yard line. Farley circled the end for twenty-three yards, and Lins was pushed over the line for the second touchdown. Winter missed goal. Score, II-0. Cunningham rolled the ball to Winter who punted it. Cincinnati pushed on for ten yards and lost the ball on a fumble. Farley took the bail on the next play and ran around left end for forty yards before he met Shayer Tommy Kraemer Jersey. Lins and Kuppler hammered into the line for twenty yards. Kuppler ran over Greenbaum for six, and Farley got through guard for the third touchdown. Winter kicked goal. Notre Dame 17 - Cincinnati 0. The first-half ended with the ball on Cincinnati forty-five yard line. The second half consisted merely of touchdowns. Before the game ended our fellows had made seven more downs, and Winter had kicked four more goals. The final score was 57-0. Cheers  GO IRISH!

The Thanksgiving Holiday is one of the best weekends of the season for college football, and 2019 is no different. There are playoff implications all weekend long, and teams from the American Athletic Conference are no different, as they are attempting to earn a spot in a New Years Six Bowl Game. If you are a Navy Football fan, the first matchup you should care about is on Friday afternoon when #18 Memphis hosts #19 Cincinnati. The Midshipmen need the Tigers to lose to have a shot at the AAC West title Should Memphis fall on Friday, a Navy win on Saturday will send the Mids back to the AAC Championship game for the second time in four years. Houston has had Navy number as division foes. The Cougars are 3-1 against Navy since they joined the AAC. Navy only victory came in 2016 when the Mids shocked then #6 Houston on a rainy fall afternoon in Annapolis. Navy would go on to win the AAC West that year. How To Watch:Time: 7:00 p.m. (EST) on Saturday, 30 Nov 2019Watch: ESPN 2Listen: WNAV; or online hereLocation: TDECU Stadium, Houston, TXRankings: Navy enters week 14 on the Massey Rankings at 23; Houston is at 83Betting Lines: Navy is favored by 8.5 points.HoustonThe Cougars are in a ebuilding year. Star Quarterback DEriq King  and Wide Receiver Keith Corbin  both elected to sit out the rest of the 2019 season in order to preserve their red shirt status. The move was significant as King and Corbin have not seen a snap since week 4 of the season and they are still the 4th leading rusher and 4th leading receiver respectively Hawk Wimmer Jersey.  This left the Cougars with Clayton Tune as the man under center who wasn exactly a one for one swap; especially when you account for King abilities as a dual threat QB. Tune has as many carries as King and about half has many rushing yards. The Cougars do have a dominant rusher in Kyle Porter  who averages nearly 5 yards a carry, and receiver Marquez Stevenson, who has 7 touchdowns on the year and is closing in on 800 receiving yards. Houston is 90th in total offense with 379 yards a game and 66th in scoring offense, just shy of 30 points a game. The Houston defense hasn been particularly effective either, as they are 99th in scoring defense allowing 32 points a game, and 116th in total defense giving up 460 yards a game. They have a pretty stout secondary, however, which is led by Safety Grant Stuard  and Cornerback Damarion Williams. NavyThe Mids continued their incredible bounce back season when they defeated #25 SMU last weekend, keeping their AAC Championship hopes alive. Navy is in the middle of one of their best seasons in recent memory. There has only been one game this season where they really struggled, and that was against Notre Dame in South Bend two weeks ago. It was important to not let the Irish beat them twice, and Navy was not about to let that happen on Senior Day.Malcolm Perryimproved ability to throw has been instrumental to the team success this year. Navy currently ranks 24th in total offense with 455 yards a game, and more than 100 yards of that have come through the air. It seems as though his passing has only improved as the season goes on, which is something option fiends expect from the ground game. This is typically the point of the season where the option is hitting on all cylinders and last weeks stellar performance gave no signs of slowing down. The defense. You really cannot say enough about this defense and the unbelievable turn around it has made sense last year. Defensive Coordinator Brian Newberry is deservedly a semifinalist for the Frank Broyles Award, which is given to the best assistant coach in the country Brad Roberts Jersey. Any coach will tell you however that they can only do the coaching and call the plays, its up to the guys in the uniform to buy in and execute during a game. This defensive squad is led by an incredible group of senior captains in Paul Carothers  and Nizaire Cromartie. Navy defense was among the worst in the NCAA last season, and this season they are among the top 25 in almost every single defensive category. No doubt that drastic shift has been a significant factor in Navy big turn around this season. Keys to SuccessHang on to the Rock. Navy two loses have come when they lose the turnover battle. This isn a hot take on winning football games; not turning the ball over generally results in victories. If Navy doesn put the ball on the ground there is no reason they shouldn be successful on offense and be able to keep up with Houston.Contain the Run Game. Houston has been much more successful on the ground than through the air. If Navy is able to contain Porter and prevent Tune from effective scrambles, then the defense should be able to keep the game in reach.Predictions As our own Gavin Jernigan said t really sucks seeing your classmates go home to see their families when youe on your way to practice. That is to say, Navy is their own worst enemy this weekend. If they remain focused on what the have to gain still have to gain this season then they have a great shot for at least a share of the division title.

General Discussion / USC Knocks Oregon Out, Advance 82-68
« Last post by WdsfDdsf on January 17, 2022, 01:46:59 am »
The Sweet Sixteen baby! As the Pac-12 continues to be the toast of the tourney, The Oregon Ducks took on the USC Trojans for the right to advance to the Elite Eight. These two teams only met once this season, in a dominant win for the Trojans in which they seemingly couldn miss and Oregon just wasn able to keep up. The winner of tonight game joins Oregon State as the second team from the Conference of Champions to move onto the next round.First Half: Eugene Omoruyi kicked off the scoring for the Ducks with 5 early points, as well as a crafty pass for a Chris Duarte finish as the Ducks got off to a good start, unlike their last matchup against the Trojans. The winner of this game becomes the third team from the Pac-12 to make the Elite 8, meaning that the conference will have more teams in the Elite 8 than Pac teams that have been eliminated so far (Colorado and the loser of this game.) The early minutes contained a lot of back and forth scoring for both teams, with Oregon getting some good looks behind the three point line while USC was attacking the Ducks in the paint.Nine points already for C_Duarte5.Ducks down four with seven left in the first half.GoDucks AlwaysUs USC Isaiah White was doing most of the damage so far, he had 10 points and was scoring from everywhere on the floor. The Ducks started to struggle a bit on offense, missing a few threes badly and struggling to break through USC zone defense. One of the Trojan strengths is the length of their team, and it was on full display so far against Oregon. The Trojans started clicking on offense, and forced Oregon to call a timeout as they ran up the score to 28-19. The Ducks shooting had gone ice cold, missing 11 of their last 12 shots until Omoruyi broke the drought with a steal and a fast break dunk, but they were still down 33-21.  Oregon was able to score a few more times before half, but still trailed at the break, 41-26. The Ducks just couldn slow down the Trojans on offense and were struggling to get good looks against USC tough defense The threes had stopped falling for the Ducks, and they would need to start making them in order to come back in the second half. Second Half:Will Richardson split the USC defense in the middle of the lane for the first Duck points of the second half, as Oregon looked to find success against the USC defense that gave them so much trouble in the first half. Just as he was in the first matchup, USC Tahj Eaddy was giving Oregon fits. He can catch fire so quickly and he was feeling it against the Ducks. Eugene Omoruyi was able to hit a three to break their drought from behind the arc, but Oregon still trailed 52-35. Marc Lebryk-USA TODAY SportsWhile most of Oregon was struggling, LJ Figueroa was particularly having a rough time. He had missed all of his three point attempts and got called for a travel on a fast break. Meanwhile, it seemed like almost everyone on USC was playing well. The Mobleys were an unstoppable duo, Isaiah White had a career high scoring night, and Eaddy was also playing well. Omoruyi and Duarte were doing the most damage for Oregon, but without contributions from the rest of the team Kayvon Thibodeaux Jersey, they just didn have enough firepower to keep up with the Trojans. Oregon was able to make a bit of a run against USC, and they were able to get a 11-0 run to bring it to an 11 point game. Franck Kepnang continues to impress Duck fans with his energy, unfortunately he was also called for two fouls in less than 30 seconds. He a bit raw, but he a guy that Duck fans will want to pay attention to next year. Despite some better play in the second half, it wasn enough to make a comeback, as the USC Trojans cruised to an 82-68 victory to advance to the Elite Eight, where undefeated Gonzaga awaits.Marc Lebryk-USA TODAY SportsTakeaways: What a weird and wild season. Despite a ton of roster turnover, and the challenges of a weird Covid season, this Ducks team accomplished a lot. They had plenty of ups and downs, but hung tough and made a great run to the Sweet 16. These guys have a lot to be proud of, they gave their all and Oregon was the only college in the country that sent their football team to a NY6 bowl game, and both their men and women basketball team to the Sweet 16. They were one of only two schools to win the regular season title in both football and basketball. The Ducks gave their all night in and night out and it was an honor to watch them grow as the season went on. co Ducks!

Similar Hardware / ASU Football: Herm Edwards Notebook (8/22)
« Last post by WdsfDdsf on January 17, 2022, 01:46:07 am »
If you watched Arizona State football practice on Sunday morning, you wouldn know the team was battling through 100-degree heat in full pads. You see a jubilant bunch, bouncing with the loud music thumping through the Kajikawa practice facility speakers, seemingly unphased by the triple digit sweltering sun. Some Sunday morning work for ASUFootball just 11 days away from kickoff. HouseOfSparky The Sun Devils have a pep in their step, and as they ramp up towards the September 2 opener vs Southern Utah, the excitement is palpable. Herm Edwards, lamenting that he would have to attend afternoon mass following the team morning practice Sunday, spoke to media following the session  sorry to bring you folks out here on a Sunday, the fourth-year head coach said. he way it works out, today is a Tuesday for us knowing we play next Thursday. It was a good long practice today. It was HOT, which is a good thing. Our football stamina needs to improve, which is where I think a lot of teams are at in college football right now. For the most part we got a lot done today and I looking forward to going back out tomorrow. Earning his place ASU football under Herm Edwards has been a prosperous landing spot for walk-on players hoping to earn a scholarship. Another example of this sentiment came over the weekend, when it was announced that tight end John Stivers had earned the honor. Stivers is the latest of numerous Sun Devil walk ons to be recognized by Edwards and his staff. e got here due to the fact that he knew somebody who knew me, Edwards said. e arrived and become a tremendous part of our football team. The leadership and camaraderies that he brings to the tight end room is really valuable. Edwards added that he may have had an ulterior motive in providing the Northern California native with a scholarship. is father was also just named the CEO at Pebble Beach golf club do I need to say anything elseregame Rituals NearNever one to shy away from the emotional and dramatic side of sports, Edwards shared how a simple embrace before kickoff lets him know that it game time. tanding on the 50-yard line right before kickoff, and getting a hug from two or three guys. Edwards said. ne of them was always John Lynch. I would tell him  can play anymore, but youe going to take a little bit of me with you out there. I always going to hug the quarterback, and there a couple other guys, if they don hug me, they can go on the field! It the little things like that for me.  Squeaky CleanIf there one thing Edwards hates, it unnecessary penalties. He reiterated the disdain Sunday, talking about how this year team will prioritize playing a clean game and avoiding mental mistakes that lead to laundry on the field.  don like fouls, I just don. Because it a lack of concentration a lot of times. We can play passionate, but when you get to the emotional side of the meter, you get in trouble.n the now short period of practice that is available to media, I tallied all players present besides those with previously disclosed injuries. Backup quarterback Trenton Bourguet was sporting a walking boot and going through dry runs with his fellow QBs, but his status is nothing to worry about come next week according to Edwards.
uCLinux / Projected Wake Forest Football Two-Deep Depth Chart: Offense
« Last post by WdsfDdsf on January 17, 2022, 01:44:38 am »
Fall camp is right around the corner, and even without a fully updated roster(please give me updated weights and heights, I beg), the guys are getting ready to enter a month of jockey for position as well as fine-tuning their skills to try to make this season the best one yet for Wake Forest is a projection for what Wake offensive depth chart will look like come first snap against Old Dominion. In regards to the classifications, just know this is as theye listed on the Wake Forest website.QUARTERBACKStarter: RS So. Sam HartmanBack-up: RS Fr. Michael Kern OR Fr. Mitch GriffisDepth: Fr. Santino Marucci, Fr. Billy Edwards Jr.Thoughts: Nothing new here, captain Sam Hartman, barring injury will be at the helm for Wake. It going to be interesting now with outsiders(the media) being allowed at fall camp this year, to see just how close, if at all Kern and/or Griffis are to Hartman. The backup QB spot will be a fight from what I hearing, while Marucci and Edwards will continue to adjust and learn.RUNNING BACKStarters: RS Jr. Christian Beal- Smith, RS So. Christian TurnerBackup: Fr. Justice EllisonDepth: Fr. Quinton Cooley, Fr. Ahmani Marshall, Fr. Will TownsThoughts: CBS will be the lead back, but what comes after him is a bit of a mystery box, but one that seems to be fruitful. While technically there only 1 starter ever listed, we know how much Clawson and Ruggiero love splitting carries evenly between the top two backs. Turner, one of the transfers from Michigan, was continually lauded throughout spring camp by both players and coaches. I placing my bet that he will separate from the pack and establish himself as the second back in this offense. Ellison seems to be next man up given how well he ran at the end of 2020. Cooley and Marshall are working their way back from injuries last year, but also registered strong springs. Will Towns arrived during summer session 2, so will he be able to catch up to the rest of the pack to make an impact on scout team/blowouts?Tight EndStarter: RS Sr. Brandon ChapmanBackup: RS So. Blake WhiteheartDepth: RS Fr. Cameron Hite, Fr. Gavin Ellis, Fr. Michael Frogge, Fr. Trey BollThoughts: Chapman going into his final collegiate year will be getting the start, but he is going to have to become more of a threat in the passing game if he wants to hold off Blake Whiteheart who is entering his 4th year in the program. If it seems like there a logjam in the room, well there is as the team really only uses 1 tight end at a time, while having 6 on the roster. Itl be interesting to see if a guy like Cameron Hite can pick up the Connor Hebbeler role in the Heavy Deac formation, or if Frogge or Boll can progress enough to be used in the passing game.Wide ReceiverStarters: RS Jr. Jaquarii Roberson(Slot), Gr. Donald Stewart(X), RS Fr. Taylor Morin OR RS So. A.T. Perry(Z)Backups: Fr. Kehawn Williams(Slot), Fr. Jahmal Banks(X)Depth: Fr. Horatio Fields, Fr. Dez Williams, walk-on Fr. Jackson HensleyThoughts: The loss of Donavon Greene does show its head here given that an injury to any of the 4 outside guys. With that being said, there is still a considerable amount of upside here. I don need to say much about Roberson and just leave it at this: if youe pondering the move of him to the outside, Wake playbook has a considerable amount of calls that have Roberson ending up down the sideline even when lining up from the slot The X receiver, where Greene woulde played, will look to be manned by grad transfer Donald Stewart. Stewart had a great game against NC State, but injuries prevented us from seeing what the rest of the year woulde looked like for him Nick Ragano Jersey. After a spring where he may have been the most improved player, he will be called upon to man one of the outside spots. Kehawn Williams really controls the fate of the rest of the spots. If he stays healthy and can show he an ACC-Level player(which chatter out of spring suggested he that and then some), it gives Ruggiero the flexibility to kick Taylor Morin out wide, where he was for the bowl game. I have Morin out wide battling A.T Perry for the starting pot and would not be surprised if these snaps were truly 50-50. Morin is a clinical route runner with good speed so as a flanker, he can easily pose a threat as someone running up the sideline or a route that helps disguise what the slot is doing and work the middle. Perry on the other hand gives you a better threat in the intermediate and deep balls. A.T. is a glider that has a knack for finding himself behind the defense more often than not, so it seems to be a matter of who just has the better and more consistent fall camp. Backing up Stewart will be Jahmal Banks, who as well had a breakout spring. Can a freshman like Horatio Fields or Dez Williams come in and pick up the playbook quickly and make an impact?Offensive LineStarters: RS Jr. Zach Tom(LT), RS Jr. Sean Maginn OR RS Jr. Loic Ngassam Nya(LG), RS So. Michael Jurgens(C), Gr. Terrance Davis(RG), RS Fr. DeVonte Gordon(RT)Backups: RS Fr. CJ Elmonus(LT), Fr. Luke Petitbon(C), Fr. George Sell(RG), Fr. Zach Vaughan(RT)Depth: Fr. Matt Gulbin, RS Jr. Spencer Clapp, Fr. Nick Sharpe, Fr. Jaydon Collins, Fr. Christian ForbesThoughts: The loss of Jeionte Nash sucks, there no getting around that. OL is the one place however, that the listed age is quite deceptive. Tom, Maginn, and Nya are all in their fifth years, Davis is a super senior, Gordon and Elmonus are in their third, while the quartet of Sell, Petitbon, Vaughan, and Forbes are in their second year of the program. So no, I not going to project Wake having 3 true freshmen on the 2 deep.Left Tackle, Center, and Right Guard seem very set in stone(granted Terrance Davis is healthy). The rest, Il be honest, is going to be a guessing game and one big puzzle throughout fall camp. We could very easily see Loic man the LG spot and Maginn slide out to Right Tackle While I argue from a depth perspective, you be making yourself razor thin at guard, if that the best combination of 5 then so be it.I think guys like Petitbon and Sell are ready to step into the two-deep. Petitbon was a notable guy during practices for the Under Armour All American game and hasn had to completely reshape his body like a lot of younger linemen do coming into school. Sell seemed close to cracking the 2 deep last year as well, but with a full spring, summer, and soon fall, I believe in these two to crack the depth chart. The inclusion of Vaughan is one of a guess, not a hunch. If Maginn doesn slide out to RT, there needs to be someone backing up that starter and I think Vaughan will see an opportunity. He put on 32 pounds since last year, now standing at 6-6 and 302 pounds. I don think that was by accident. Tabacca is a big fan of guys that could play many positions across the line and with that build Vaughan can easily fill in at a guard or tackle spot. I also going to keep my eye on Christian Forbes after there was some chatter about him post spring.

Hacking & Modding / Wisconsin football recruiting: Class of 2022 breakdown
« Last post by WdsfDdsf on January 17, 2022, 01:42:36 am »
The early signing period is upon us and so far the Badgers have put together a solid group for the 2022 season. In total, the Badgers signed 14 players to the 2022 class on Wednesday. Five of those players come from the state of Wisconsin but it wasn all-in-state players as the Badgers nabbed commitments from players in Arizona, Texas, North Carolina, and New Jersey among others. Wisconsin landed six offensive players to the group, and seven defensive players with a couple of others that could end up on either side of the ball Headlining the class of 2022 is once again, you guessed it, a top-tier offensive lineman in Joe Brunner. Brunner is a 4-star offensive lineman out of Whitefish Bay High school and is the top overall player in the state of Wisconsin According to 247 Allen Trieu the Badgers will be getting a tough, physical player who finishes his blocks and gets off the ball well. All good signs for a Wisconsin offensive lineman. Top OL in Wisconsin award winner? Seems like a good fit here  brunnerjoe_ is in the game - Welcome to the Wisconsin family! Joining Brunner is Isaac Hamm out of Sun Prairie. Hamm is the highest-rated defensive player in the state of Wisconsin and will bring a combo of size and speed to the mix on the defensive line. Hamm has lined up as an edge in high school but projects to be a down lineman at the next level. Wherever he plays Hamm brings a high motor and a lot of toughness to bolster Wisconsin defensive line room. Another highly rated defensive prospect is safety Austin Brown out of Johnston City, Ill. Brown is a hybrid player that projects to possibly be a safety or a linebacker at the next level depending on his size. Brown is listed as a 3-star prospect by 247 composite, but 247 ranking has him a bit higher and listed as a 4-star. Next up is Curtis Neal out of Williams Amos Hough in North Carolina, a familiar school if you follow Wisconsin football recruiting as Neal is the third player to come to Wisconsin from that school (Devin Chandler, Gio Paez). Neal is a physical down lineman that was highly recruited by Ohio State and South Carolina before ultimately deciding on Wisconsin as his future home. Neal is already fitting in well with the in-state burger joints.Congrats to culvers on welcoming Curtis Neal to the Blue Crew!!TEAM SCOOPIE GETS THEIR GUY #ButterBurgerUniversity One player that really saw his recruitment skyrocket is that of Aidan Vaughan out of Walled Lake Western in Michigan. Vaughan was originally committed to Air Force but his recruitment really picked up steam shortly after that, and the offers rolled in. In the end, Vaughan de-committed from Air Force and committed to Wisconsin and he appears to be a player that could be the steal of the class given his size, speed, and athleticism. Joining Vaughn in the linebacker room is Tristan Monday, a 3-star linebacker out of Scottsdale, Arizona. Monday was originally an Arizona Wildcat commit, but de-committed from there and switched to the Badgers. Monday brings a solid frame to the Badgers and plays a very hard-nosed style of football which always does well at Wisconsin. Mondays, am I right?!Tristan is in the game - Welcome to the Wisconsin family! The linebacker position was a spot that saw multiple players join Wisconsin, as was the cornerback room. The Badgers inked two corners in this class to bolster an already talented room. Avyonne Jones joins Wisconsin out of Southlake Caroll High School, a very strong program out of Texas. He was originally committed to Oklahoma State but de-committed and joined the Badgers. Joining him is AKoury Lyde out of Depaul Catholic in New Jersey. Lyde brings speed and physicality to the cornerback room that should play well at Wisconsin. After Monday in the rankings is a few offensive players starting with wideout Vinny Anthony. Anthony is out of Louisville, Kentucky, and possesses a good combination of size and speed. In his senior season, Anthony hauled in 49 passes for 1,108 yards and 16 touchdowns He was also a team captain and led his team to the state title game. Another promising wideout is Tommy Mcintosh out of Dewitt High School in Michigan. Standing at 6-foot-5 Mcintosh certainly, has the frame to possibly work into the tight end position, but 247 Allen Trieu said he has the speed and athleticism to play wideout at the next level as well. Either way, he seems like a very promising prospect for the Badgers. Bringing that championship mentality to Madison  Tmcintosh44 is in the game - Welcome to the Wisconsin family! If Mcintosh ends up at wideout the Badgers could look to in-state tight end JT Seagreaves to fill out the tight end room in the future Cole Dakovich Jersey. At 6-foot-6 Seagreaves possess a really big frame and catch radius that could blossom at the next level. When camping with the Badgers Segreaves really stood out to the coaching staff and ended up being their preferred target on the board.  Rounding out the skill positions is that of Cade Yacamelli who comes to the Badgers from Penn Trafford High School in Harrison City, Pennsylvania. Yacamelli is an interesting prospect that could play a number of different positions at Wisconsin. In his senior season Yacamelli did a little of everything lining up at running back, wideout, and defensive back. He racked up 1,200 all-purpose yards in his senior season and brings a lot of athleticism to Wisconsin. It great to have a couple of wideouts and tight ends in this class with some players departing the program after the Las Vegas bowl, but just as important as that is the guy who will be throwing it to them. That brings us to Myles Burkett, the 3-star signal-caller from Franklin. Burkett was named Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year this past week and will bring some strong leadership to the Badgers quarterback room. It appears Burkett is in quite a happy mood. Mood. Every good signal-caller needs a protector upfront and that role very well could be filled by the likes of Barrett Nelson. Barrett is the brother of Wisconsin Jack Nelson, and if he plays anything like his brother does the Badgers might have quite the duo on their hands. Barrett possesses a really good frame at 6-foot-6 and should give the Badgers another quality lineman right out of their backyard of Stoughton. Overall, this class currently ranks No. 44 nationally and No. 11 in the Big Ten. Wisconsin landed two 4-star commits, and 12 3-star players Those numbers are not quite what the Badgers have had over the past few years, but that isn necessarily a major cause for concern. In terms of average recruit rating, the Badgers sit fifth in the Big Ten.There is still a chance for Wisconsin to move up in the rankings as 4-star IOL Carson Hinzman may make his choice between the Badgers and Ohio State later this week. With the transfer portal and COVID waivers Wisconsin, like many others, took somewhat of a smaller class than usual. Of the players landed, each possesses a strong amount of talent and good average ratings compared to other teams. The players Wisconsin nabbed each should be players that develop into strong prospects for the Badgers in the future.  In This Stream Early Signing Day: Wisconsin Badgers football 2022 recruiting class hub  Wisconsin football recruiting: UW adds another PWO to 2022 class Wisconsin football recruiting: Class of 2022 breakdown  Early Signing Day: 2022 in-state 4-star DE Isaac Hamm signs with the Badgers  View all 24 stories  More FromBucky's 5th Quarter  Badgers in the NFL: Jonathan Taylor and T.J. With the 3rd in general pick out within just the 2021 draft, the Detroit Tigers incorporate picked significant college or university straight-passed pitcher Jackson Jobe An 18-yr-outdated versus Historical past Corridor Substantial College, he been associated towards the workers earlier mentioned and around once more for months and is previously the most recent member of the Tigers company. Jobe specials some of the least complicated all-natural things within just the 2021 draft program, with a pitch combine that consists of a fastball, slider, curveball, and changeup. He throws them with elite spin and results in being a lot of flow upon his breaking things. The slider reportedly crests 3000 rpm and is unquestionably his strikeout pitch. He is additionally ready in direction of pump superior velocities Though essential, and presently bumps 97 miles for each hour irrespective of his immature produce. As a positive athlete upon the mound with a repeatable transport, the planning blocks are there for him toward build over-typical manage as perfectly. 3. Tigers: Jackson Jobe, RHP, Okla. HS. Ultimate prep arm within just the training course, perhaps 80-quality slider, into higher 90 this spring, CB/CH each venture around ordinary, spin facts is ridiculous, circumstance in the direction of be designed this is the utmost normal upside choose inside of the program.,One particular bring about for situation outside the house of the very clear likelihood that accompanies any superior faculty pitcher is the truth of the matter that his fastball move profile is non-suitable for a ground breaking pitcher. The suitable strikeout pitchers toss growing fastballs, whilst Jobe tails absent towards the batter. The pitch isn heading towards attract as innumerable whiffs as 1 could possibly be expecting dependent upon his spin charges and Good speed. There going towards be some hand-wringing with regards to the league crackdown upon use of sticky chemical compounds in direction of transform spin selling prices, nevertheless that is not likely in the direction of be considerably of a predicament with Jobe. Alteration of the ball is extremely unheard of at the significant higher education stage. Even if he was utilizing the utmost prosperous chemicals, the decline of spin by means of quitting chilly turkey would nevertheless go away him with charges significantly higher than normal. What generates this pick out bewildering is that the Tigers have been reportedly enamored with shortstop Marcelo Mayer, who was projected in direction of be the to start with over-all select and was nevertheless upon the board anytime they picked Jobe. A great number of felt that it was basically well-known expertise that Detroit would pick out Mayer no subject what if he was out there with the 3rd decide on, hence the truth that they handed upon him will come as some thing of a surprise. The in all probability reasoning guiding this opt for is twofold. Initially of all, the Tigers consist of assurance within their energy toward build pitchers, and Jobe might be a correct monster if he reaches his height Detroit Tigers Women's T-shirts and more. Next, the signing reward for Jobe will virtually completely appear in just perfectly below his slot price tag. Hence, they can shell out massive upon long term choices the moment a gifted participant eventually falls in this article his required draft amount. A slurry of video game highlights:The Boston Bruins, as a substitute of a organic roster, performed tonight video game with 11 avid gamers, some towards Providence. With the AHL types developing any notice in addition relocating into protocol.Towards say that this L was approximately foretold would be lying, nonetheless I determine Individuals highlights will somewhere around choose yourself in direction of the similar determination we all arrived in direction of:COVID sucks.Up conclusion. Supreme shelf.Cal Clutterbuck becomes it finished. Anthony Beauvillier with the much-facet energy perform snipe! 2-0 Islanders!#Isles Matt Martin and Nick Foligno reduce 'em.Furthermore there was an ENG yet that not sizeable Function Mike Reilly nets a late a person!#NHLBruins 1#Isles 3 And what already constitutes the Boston Bruins intellect residence with a 3-1 Decline.Video game Notes:Seem, no matter what this recreation was heading toward be at entire capability is largely simply just a theoretical at this stage. They performed such as crap and received rewarded for it, however a massive purpose why absolutely everyone who appeared at this lineup and checked out didn buy destruction as poor as absolutely everyone else; this personnel basically can Mike Reilly scored! Constructive for him!Nick Folingo along with becoming into a scrape was the chief inside of fancystats for the evening. That is not a significant bar toward distinct, mainly because simply just 2 gamers upon the Bruins were being beneath 50% within just maximum pertinent capturing types, and though that bodes nicely for the offensive layout of the personnel, the skill absence was upon entire demonstrate.David Pastrnak and Taylor Corridor accounted for 13 of 41 photos within this sport. It is truthfully reasonably a embarrassment they couldn revenue inside of since if by yourself shift forward and pull the share out of that, on your own will be incredibly unsatisfied! Specially offered that they attempted their damnedest toward crank out A Factor transpire! this employees is style of depleted at the second!Linus Ullmark did his suitable Rick Tocchet Jersey, nevertheless this staff was pet dog-exhausted and almost certainly impression the great battle as a result of the 2nd intent, and frankly it outstanding he didn offer you up extra. Those people fresh new pads definitely are undertaking the trick for him, and I assume the outdated kinds are at this time maintaining some loved ones of possums or anything heat for the wintertime the Islanders required Greiss in direction of stand upon his mind inside of get in the direction of combat such as 5 NHLers and a host of AHLers. What a employees they became out in the direction of be.The Bruins possibly shouldn transfer toward Montreal upon Saturday. Very, I not guaranteed they ought to be enjoying at all for the subsequent number of of months due to the fact whilst certainly, Omicron is a significantly less-lifestyle threatening variant of The Issue What Upended The Globe, it is having said that theorized in the direction of be path course route simpler in direction of agreement, and if fifty percent the NHL placing by itself into protocol including they contain higher than the following number of of months, there no motive they shouldn specifically quarantine, suspend the game titles, then arrive again for the Wintertime Traditional (or a little something).Perfectly, if they program in the direction of move, then up coming activity will be versus Montreal inside Montreal inside entrance of no one at 7pm EST.Wel perspective how that shakes out.
