Jaycar Techview QC3836 = NIP-06OAM Coolcam / Foscam FI8904W firmware works .

Hi, just registered. So after having some trouble with this model i pulled apart and ended up here !

This is the camera

Inside the mainboard has nuvoton w90n745cdg processor and pcb marked as NIP06 _M V2_Nov 29,2010
And the camera board has a main chip pap7501v with pcb marked NIP06_GP_ir-cut v3

WebUI states:
Device Firmware Version      0.37.2.47
Device Embeded Web UI Version      6.2.6.81

There are serial holes marked on the pcb.

Firstly if anyone reading this knows of compatible firmware please tell, otherwise i may have a go extracting it myself.

Secondly the problem that i didnt care about was wifi that barely worked. Turns out the antenna connection to the wifi pcb was not connected! , easy fixed.

The main problem im having is that outside during the day its completely white whiteout making it unusable outdoors, any comments ?

So i decided to try a different firmware, after working out this is a Foscam FI8904W clone, and being prepared to brick it with the wrong firmware for the chance of fixing the stuck aperture problem, combined with similar fw series numbers 0.37.2.47 vs 11.37.2.59 and success mentioned here: http://www.ipcamtalk.com/showthread.php?103-Foscam-FI8918W-Firmware-Update-May-19-2014&p=13075&viewfull=1#post13075

It worked, both the firmware and ui upgrades ! and to make things even better it fixed my white out problem!
