Hello! I'm exploring a way to get snapshot (photo) from camera - Xiaomi Yi Smart (hi3518 sensor OV9712)

And yes, I can grab first frame with FFMPEG from rtsp stream, but there is a 2-3s delay, which is really bad for my project. I really need a binary to read directly from sensor, preferably dlink style (http://cam.ip/snapshot.cgi)

It does running linux,
# uname -a
Linux (none) 3.0.8 #1 Wed Apr 30 16:56:49 CST 2014 armv5tejl GNU/Linux

It has no web interface originally, but I managed to run lighttpd with cgi support.
There is also SDK for that chip, Hi3518_SDK_V1.0.7.0.tgz, with a few samples.

Does anyone here skilled enough to point me in right direction? Any of SDK samples are good for me?

Thanks in advance.
