Can you please tell how to flash openwrt on ip camera WansView NCS601W. I have a programmer CH341A with UART.
I read that a man has pierced the camera on openwrt and it has become an ordinary ip camera. I dismantled it, connected UART, but what program to use to fill the firmware openwrt I do not know. The firmware consists of two files .bin

Help / Tenvis JPT3815W 2013 access point mode problem
« Last post by nikantgr76 on November 29, 2017, 01:34:59 am »

I have some of your cameras with the following characteristics:

Tenvis JPT3815W 2013
Hardware Version    Ver 1.8
Firmware Version    Ver 1.7.24

The problem is that those cameras when connected to WiFi are creating a
hidden WiFi network that operates in 2 channels. It is probably an
access point mode.

Is there any way to disable this? I want them to only function as clients.
uCLinux / Re: Fix KRACK ATTACK in ARM Linux

wpa_supplicant version 2.4 and above is affected, so replace that.

That said I'm not actually sure that the version on the camera is vulnerable, it might actually be too old.

« Last post by AR84 on November 22, 2017, 07:20:26 am »
Hi guys,

I would like to fix the KRACK Bug in the Linux running on the IP cameras.
In my case the camera is running Linux version 2.6.28

Does anyone know which of the files inside the Linux needs to be modified to solve the KRACK vulnerablility?

Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks in advance.
General Discussion / Better Software To Connect With Foscam Clone?
« Last post by abrogard on November 19, 2017, 05:10:27 am »

I have a couple of Foscam clones and they came from different vendors.

One of them has no 'advanced' option or any other way of changing the configuration.

So how did I get it set up in the first place?

ah, good question.  Well I think it came with its own software for finding it and talking to it.

I've lost that now.  Can't find it.

Anyone got any idea of how I could perhaps get at this camera and reconfigure it for our new local network which uses the 10.x.x.x  series instead of the 198.x.x.x  ?

General Discussion / How To Log Contacam Into a Foscam Clone?
« Last post by abrogard on November 19, 2017, 05:06:58 am »

My Contacam won't log in to my foscam clone and I think it probably because of that second menu thing that it throws up - asking what mode you want, for IE or Firefox or Mobile.

Is there any way to deal with this and use Contacam with a clone?

I have an hi3518 ip cam. After changing the default password I cannot login anymore. I have tried a few tools like "reset configinfo" but nothing. I also noticed that it exists a user othe than admin, named default I cannot login to it neither.

Guys can you please suggest me a way to reset my cam or at least gain access?
Thank you!
