Site Announcements / DNS Updates

The previous DNS servers we use for the site at Peer1 appear to have gone flaky, so we've moved to using digitalocean's nameservers.

Site should be a little more stable.
Help / Voyager IPCAM VR-530/520TVL / HISI_001
« Last post by magalhaes1985 on February 12, 2017, 10:36:41 pm »
Good night, my English is not very good, but I'll try harder.

I bought an IP camera Model: Voyager vr-530 / 520tvl - so it is very old. I'll post some photos of the product.

My question is whether there is any newer firmware for this camera that I could use?

thank you

Best regards

Firmware / Re: To Find RX TX for Firmware Download

Blurry photos aren't helping  ;D

What you'll need to do is lookup the datasheet for the chipset used (looks like a Hixxx device, so Hisilicon), and see what pins are the rx /tx for the chip, then trace those on the board to see if there are access points.

Looks like the bottom 5 pins are likely ones (from the IMG_1900), but you'll need to buzz out to check.

My level of linux knowledge hovers between Linux Mint, Raspbian and Arch sometimes, not very familiar with embedded stuff...
I am writing an alternative to ZoneMinder in Node.js. It is called Shinobi. So far it is pretty barebones. It records video to webm and streams over websocket. I have found other apps like NodeMinder but i couldn't get them to run properly...
So i made this. I want to share since it is open source and free to use.
Would be swell if you guys could give me your thoughts/opinions.
You can view the github page here

Key Aspects

- Records IP Cameras and Local Cameras
- Streams by WebSocket
- Save to WebM and MP4
 - Get videos
 - Get monitors
 - Change monitor modes : Disabled, Watch, Record
 - Embedding streams
