Title: (C#) How to capture video stream without using a third party SDK
Post by: BaumHard920 on November 17, 2014, 09:37:07 am
I'm newbie here, but I need some help. I need to build an application for my ONVIF-compliant Foscam IP camera.
I found an interesting article on Planet-source-code.com: How to create USB webcam / IP camera recorder to capture and save video (C# WPF) (http://www.planet-source-code.com/vb/scripts/ShowCode.asp?txtCodeId=9440&lngWId=10). This aroused my attention, but so far I am unable to find out how to implement it without using a third party SDK (such as Ozeki's C# camera library (http://www.camera-sdk.com/)).

Any idea?

I have a ONVIF camera (not Foscam). I am interested in the same thing but don't currently have the time to pursue it.

Just a thought, and maybe I'm off track but in looking at the library source for the Open Source project "ONVIF Device Manager" I see that the authors are using uses ffmpeg for media decoding.

Please post your progress.
