No I want get origin web UI but its quite hard. Is there some sower web UI for heden? Or is there some sort of web UIs compatible with heden cams?

Today I finally get origin web UI for my cam. So I want to share it with you.

Now I have UI in version 0.0.0.7, but I don't know why upgrade web UI changed also system firmware number to 0.0.2.1 (before I had 0.23.2.21)

I want to check it via UART with terminal, but now I not at home so I just play with web UI.

Hi,

I'm new to this world of IPCAM and uCLinux.

I never worked with linux before.

I bought a IPCAM branded WANSCAM and after a firmware upgrade using wrong files... Surprise!
A new expensive paperweight!

The board is exactly like yours with the chip W90N745 and memory W9812G6.

I'm trying to recover but I'm not understanding in how to proceed.
I flashed a firmware from FOSCAM it worked but the ethernet adaptor have not worked.

So I saw your post. It's very closer to your camera but my memory is not 2MB it's 4MB.

Can you help me ? I tryed your images but they are not in zip format.

How is this compression made? because I couldn't place the linux and the romfs in the addresses 0x7f020000 and 0x7f0e0000 due to the size of .bin file founded in this post.

Here is some data from the bootloader:

If you can help me understanding the basics of the addresses and files of linux will be good!
Also if you can provide the files that worked for you and explain the .zip compression I will be verry grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Seeing as you've now erased your camera completely, why not try my test firmware?

See wiki for instructions or the 2.6 post in the general discussion forum (stickied at the top).

Hi, I'm sorry that my answer took so much time, but I was very busy. Want you still some clues?

I'm having trouble with a camera FI8904W Foscam (genuine).

After I erased the whole flash except bootloader (del-all), I used romfs_cmos_11_14_2_17.img and linux_4Mx16Bit_new.zip with commands:

fx 7 linux.zip "0x7f020000 0x8000-acxz
fx 6 romfs.img 0x7f0e0000 0x7f0e0000 -a

After boot, I received this error:

(it's part of the code)

The camera keeps rebooting and in IP Camera Tool I have the message: "Web ui does not exist, dbclick to change" for a short time (arround 1 second)

I used alternative romfs_cmos_11_14_2_17.img, whith the same error.

Can you please help with an advice in this case?
Thanks,

@Oemill,
I had the same issues you have, look at this thread: http://www.openipcam.com/forum/index.php/topic,189.0.html

@MeeO
Thanks for writing about your quest for the unbricked cam  :D you helped me recover mine!

@MeeO  @giappox

cam is definitely wanscam AJ-C2WA-D118

in webinterface 0.0.0.7 fw version is hardcoded.

I uploaded newer (0.23.2.31) fw, see "similar hardware" threads
I will try to correct multiple errors in webui 0.0.0.7

December 19, 2011, 01:49:19 am
hmmm ... the webui is exactly the same as for heden cameras (same version, same checksum)
the fw has the same numbering scheme, last heden: lr_cmos_0_23_2_5.bin

Can you post a pic of the web UI?

thx

bob

I have exactly your cam model, can u help me?
